The southernmost of the Cascade Range volcanoes
Lassen Peak is one of the world's largest plug domes.
Lassen Peak last erupted from 1914 to 1917,
making it the most recent volcano to erupt
in the coterminous United States
prior to the 1980 to 1986 eruptions of Mount St. Helens.
