Lassen Peak is one of the world's largest plug domes.
Note the relatively smooth surface of the large cliff in the center of image, this is the outer surface of the dome.
Like most domes, this one is surrounded by a large amount of talus
broken from the dome as it was extruded, and later by weathering.
