Climbing the Trail to the Summit of Cinder Cone

Climbing Cinder Cone, July 31, 2004, Lassen Volcanic National Park

Climbing a cinder cone is somewhat like walking along a beach,
a very steep beach.
In the middle distance are the Fantastic Lava Beds,
formed at the same time as Cinder Cone, and Butte Lake.
