Bumpass Hell

Bumpass Hell hydrothermal area

Hydrothermal area,
Lassen Volcanic National Park,
California

One of many hydrothermal features in this area,
this fumarole and hydrothermally altered rock
are located in the probable conduit of a former volcano,
referred to by volcanologists as Mount Tehama.
