Mount St. Helens from Johnston Ridge Observatory, May 28, 2005

Mount St. Helens remains active as the new dome continues to change due to ongoing extrusion.
The plume is a cloud produced as water vapor discharged from the volcano's vent condenses in the late afternoon.
