ERSI 104 INTRODUCTION TO EARTH SCIENCE
5 credits (Natual Science, includes LAB)
FALL QUARTER

ERSI 104 INTRODUCTION TO EARTH SCIENCE examines major concepts from the earth sciences: geology, oceanography, meteorology, and astronomy. Topics include composition and structure of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and lithosphere, the rock cycle, plate tectonics, ocean characteristics, global air circulation, Earth-Sun relationships, and the earth in space. Provides a comprehensive picture of the earth and its unique place in the universe. Credit cannot be earned for this course and ERSI 105, or GEOG 105.

A field trip may be required. Includes laboratory.
